Projects and cooperative partners

The content found on the Lauhavuoriregion.fi website has been produced in several separate projects.

A virtual guide and its geological content were produced in a customer service network development project for the Lauhanvuoren–Hämeenkangas nature tourism area.

In the project for making the Lauhanvuori Region a Geopark, mobile optimisation of the virtual guide was done and content was edited to apply to the entire Geopark area.

The development of geological and natural heritage virtual information and services in Lauhanvuori, Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas and Seitseminen National Parks and nearby nature sites has included the following contents in the virtual guide: digital QR-coded content for terrain signs in the area, commissioned 360 aerial photographs of key sites in the area, utilizing 19th-century photographs to create comparisons between then an now, a sequel to a video series presenting the geological features of the area was made, route brochure cards and route presentations were produced for the Central European market in Outdoor Active portal, and a piloted nature trail with a mobile audioguide was created for Alkkianvuori. In addition, the visual appearance and technical platform of the guide have been renewed in 2020. The project was managed by Metsähallitus and implemented with special funding from the Government in 2018 - 2020.
