New accessible versions of Metsähallitus' mobile guides have been published. In order to meet the accessibility requirements, changes have been made to the layout, content and technical operation of the pages. The layout of the mobile guides is now clearer than before and in line with Metsähallitus' new brand. The content has taken into account accessibility so that the information content is also available in an alternative format.
The mobile guide is a service provided by Metsähallitus that offers the opportunity to get acquainted with natural sites virtually with the help of various media contents and a map. In addition to 360 images, videos, and sounds, a variety of image content is available. The service is also a virtual guidance platform that serves as an additional content platform for information panels in terrain. In the field, linking to mobile guides has been done using QR codes and NFC tags.
