The mires of Pirunkierros trail (Lauhanvuori)

The Pirunkierros trail passes boulder fields, dry forests and mires. At the Leikkistenkangas lean-to, you can see a view of the Talvitienlakso mires, which are a series of wetlands dammed by sandy paleobeach ridges. The wettest parts of the mires are at their lower margins, by the sand ridges. From the lean-to, you can see a wet mire on the left, a sand ridge in the middle and a dry mire on the right.
