A winter landscape to the river valley

The Hyypänjoki Valley is one of the finest and largest natural formations in Western Finland. The width of the river valley formed by the bedrock fracture varies between a kilometer and three, and the height difference between the bottom and the edges is about 50 to 70 meters. The valley is reminiscent of the large river valleys of Lapland. The Hyyppä lookout tower opens up a cultural landscape, in the history of which bogs also play a big role: much of the fields in the river valleys were originally cleared of nutritious floodplains. The Hyypänjoki Valley is a nationally valuable landscape area.
