The bird watching tower of Huidankeidas (Huidankeidas, Mire protection areas)

Huidankeidas at Honkajoki of Kankaanpää is one of the finest raised bogs in Southern Finland. From the tower, one can see a well defined and lively labyrinth of ponds alternating with raised hummocks with their characteristic bonsai-style pines. In the early summer, Huidankeidas is a bird haven. The nature of the raised bog is also imminent when walking to the tower along the trail: the bog is surrounded by a rand, where the bog rises above the surrounding lands.
