Huidankeidas at Honkajoki is one of the finest raised bogs in Southern Finland. From the tower, one can see a well defined and lively labyrinth of ponds alternating with raised hummocks with their characteristic bonsai-style pines. In the early summer, Huidankeidas is a bird haven. The nature of the raised bog is also imminent when walking to the tower along the trail: the bog is surrounded by a rand, where the bog rises above the surrounding lands.
