Environmental trail (Aitoneva, Other areas)

The environmental trail of the Finnish peat company Vapo Oy displays species typical to mires and forests on a regenerating peat production field. Traces of peat production can still be seen as large depressions covered by mire vegetation and water, and drier peat berms between the ponds. Vegetation has covered most signs of labour and the scenery has changed into a new kind of mosaic of forest and mire.
