Raatosulkonneva mire (Alkkianvuori, Other areas)

Raatosulkonneva mire is located on the western slope of Alkkianvuori hill. The mire is about 800 meters long and the height difference between the lower and upper edge of the mire is 15 meters. It is is fed by groundwater, which lowers the acidity of the mire. As a result some exotic species thrive on the mire, including juniper.
