The boulders of Lapinharju (Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas, National Parks)

A stony esker with pine forest

Lapinharju is the highest hill of Pohjankangas formation. It reaches 190 meters above sea level. The ridge consists of coarse boulders. The coarseness of glacifluvial formation tells about the strength of the meltwater flow: coarse material correlates with strong water flow.
