The Soininharju esker (Hämeenkangas, Other areas)
At 185 meters above sea level, the Soininharju esker is the highest point of Satakunta. The open vegetation is a remnant from the past, as most of Hämeenkangas looked the same roughly 100 years ago. The forests of today's Hämeenkangas have only evolved after the wasting of forest in the area was forbidden.
