Erratic (Hämeenkangas, Other areas)

Erratics are boulders that have been separated from the bedrock by the continental glacier and transported to their current location by the glacial flow. When inside the glacier, the boulders are roated and mangled, and their surface is smoothed. One can estimate the travel distance of an erratic by its surface: rough surface points to a short transport, smooth surfaces to a long one. How far might this erratic have come from?
