Katikankanjoni is a ravine that has been formed by small streams carving their way through the sandy soil. The streams flow on the bottom of the valley, meandering on their way. The process of meandering causes erosion and the channel is in constant change. The 20 meters deep and up to 200 meters wide ravine has been formed by the small streams during the last 9000 years.
